Cougars FC crushed Corriverton Links by a 4-0 score line when the Namilco Thunderbolt Flour U-17 National Championship continued on Sunday at the Burnham Park ground in Berbice.
Quinton Crandon opened the scoring with a 15th minute conversion before Lamar Reid added his name to the scorer’s sheet in the 32nd minute. Reid then made the score 3-0 as he found the back of the net eight minutes onward to seal his brace.
The result was sealed in the 55th minute as Crandon completed his double. Action in the event will resume today at the Mahaicony Community ground with a lone fixture between fierce rivals Monedderlust FC and Rosignol United from 4pm.
