Pouderoyen, Riddim Squad sent packing from Limacol football

Pouderoyen and Riddim Squad were sent packing from the Petra Organization/Limacol football championships losing to Santos and the Guyana Police Force (GPF) respectively on Friday at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground, Bourda.

Needing a win to keep their hopes alive of progression to the next round, Santos humbled Pouderoyen 3-0. Keith Caines, O?Keene Fraser and Robby McGloggan scored in the 35th, 40th and 52nd minute respectively.

Santos, on four points, will now await the outcome of the Den Amstel and Ann’s Grove fixture while Pouderoyen ended the event without a point.

In another encounter, the GPF outflanked Mocha based unit Riddim Squad 2-1. Quincy Holder and Dwain Jacobs scored in the 43rd and 90th+2 minute for the lawmen.

On target for the losers in the 60th minute was Dorville Stewart. The event continues today at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) ground in Linden with a doubleheader.

In the opening fixture, Eagles battle New Amsterdam United at 19:00hrs while defending champions Milerock will battle Winners Connection at 21:00hrs in a Linden derby.
