Parfait Harmonie accident victim identified as Belle West man

The police are still compiling the report on the incident where a pedestrian was knocked down and killed on Saturday night.

The man was identified as 50-year-old Kenrick Manichand of Belle West, West Coast Demerara. Stabroek News had reported that the man was walking along the Parfait Harmonie Access Road, West Bank Demerara, early Saturday night when a car, PTT 7010, collided with him.

He was subsequently taken to the West Demerara Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

According to Divisional Commander Leslie James, the police are waiting on the post-mortem examination to finish their report which will then be submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions for recommendations.
