Reference is made to the letter written by Roopnarine Sukhu which was published in Stabroek News on April 18 under the headline `Medical reimbursement from NIS fell from $24,000 to $380’.
Please be advised that contact was made with Mr. Sukhu and management is making efforts to resolve his matter.
Management wishes to remind our Contributors of our open door policy where dialogue is encouraged between the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) and our Contributors.
It would therefore be appreciated, if Contributors would engage the NIS first rather than seek to highlight their matters in the public domain.
Remember, NIS is here to protect you and we stand committed to our mission.
