It is good news that President David Granger and Opposition Leader Bharrat Jagdeo have decided to meet and consult on the nomination/appointment of a Gecom Chairman. The Opposition Leader had summited two lists for Gecom Chairman which were duly rejected by the President, so a discussion on the way forward is appropriate as discussion is necessary in dealing with disputes.
Once they start talking to each other, rather than at each other, then they will be learning to listen and trust each other. I hope that the discussion proves fruitful and that this dispute can be resolved quickly.
