A storm hit the community of Kako, in Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni), last evening, resulting in damage to 10 houses, according to the Department of Public Information (DPI). Though details were unavailable up to press time, DPI Director Imran Khan noted that a preliminary report from the Civil Defence Commission has confirmed the impact of the storm on the community. He noted that four roofs were blown off. He also said Kamarang has also been affected.
