French Guiana-based Guyanese shot dead at Craig

Police are investigating the murder of Purcell Moore Jr., 42 year, of First Street, Craig, East Bank Demerara and Cayenne, French Guiana which occurred about 07:00hrs his morning, at Old Road Craig, in the vicinity of the ‘short cut’ allegedly by three male suspects who are currently being sought.

Siblings in Piarco heist granted bail

(Trinidad Guardian) Siblings Kizzy Bernard, 38, and brother Kenol Singh, 32, of Longdenville, Chaguanas, who were charged in connection with the recent 5.5 million heist at the Piarco International Airport, were both yesterday granted bail by a Chaguanas magistrate totalling $.5 million.

Team University of Guyana (UG) with 123.6 points, edged out Team Bishops’ High School (BHS) with 118.5 points, to win first place in the finals of the RISE Guyana Youth Debate Competition on constitutional reform, held on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at the Georgetown Club.
