Home intruders rob Hampshire mechanic of gold chain, cash

Three masked bandits on Monday morning entered the home of Davinden Reddi of Hampshire Village, Corentyne and robbed him of approximately $15,000 in cash and one gold chain worth $100,000, Commander of B Division, Ian Amsterdam told Stabroek News yesterday.

According to Amsterdam, Reddi, 30, on Sunday evening held a party for his daughter’s birthday and in the wee hours of Monday morning was packing up chairs and clearing up when the perpetrators entered his yard.

Two of the three men, who wore rags around their faces were armed with  hand guns.

According to information gathered, the perpetrators then jumped the front fence and made good their escape on foot.

Amsterdam stated that the police are currently investigating, however no arrest has yet been made.
