Vice-Chairman of Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Demerara) Karl Singh has tendered his resignation to the Regional Democratic Council (RDC).
This was confirmed by Regional Chairman Bryan Allicock, who told Sunday Stabroek that he received Singh’s letter of resignation, which cited “personal reasons” for his decision to leave the regional administration. His resignation would be effective sometime next month.
Allicock, however, noted that they will be engaging Singh in the near future with the hopes of changing his mind.
Several attempts were made to contact Singh for a comment but these proved futile.
