Guyana women top standings after draw with Puerto Rico

Guyana’s women’s team battled to a scoreless draw with Puerto Rico (PUR) when the Central American and Caribbean Games 2018 Hockey Qualifiers continued yesterday.

Played at the Mona Facility, Kingston, Jamaica, Guyana  were unable to unlock the dogged defence of the Central American unit, with both teams walking away with a point respectively for their efforts.

Guyana now sit atop the standings with four points from two matches.

They will resume their campaign tomorrow against the hosts Jamaica (JAM) from 12:30hrs.

The other competing teams in the women’s section are Bermuda (BER), Guatemala (GUA) and Panama (PAN).

Meanwhile, the men’s team will also return to action tomorrow against Guatemala. The top two finishers from each division will qualify for the CAC Games.
