T&T accountant dies after desperate attempt to escape intruders

(Trinidad Express) Arima accountant was killed trying to escape thieves during a robbery at his home on Monday.

Kevin Horsford, 43, a father of two, was shot several times but jumped out the first floor window in an attempt to save his life.

Horsford died at hospital.

Shortly after midday, Horsford was at his home at Layne Street, Arima Old Road, when a gang of armed thieves invaded his home.

The criminals opened fire and Horsford was hit several times.

He was later found outside the house, bleeding from multiple injuries.

Horsford was pronounced dead on arrival at the Arima District Health Facility.

An autopsy is expected to be performed today at the Forensic Sciences Centre.

Condolences poured in on social media for Horsford, with many describing him as a loving husband and father, and an avid footballer.
