Decision to send ex-SWAT head on leave legal

Permanent Secretary (PS) of the Department of Public Service, Reginald Brotherson, on Friday said that in the absence of a constituted Police Service Commission (PSC), the authorised minister or agency can take action against police ranks using the Public Service Rules.

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad,  CMC – West Indies needed just 20 balls in the space of 13 minutes after lunch, to emphatically crush Sri Lanka by 226 runs in the opening Test here yesterday, and claim their first Test win over the Asian side in 10 years.

St Vincent PM says T&T extracts most from CARICOM

Stating that outstanding issues such as free movement of people and a co-ordinated foreign policy have to be resolved before CARICOM  can move to a Single Economy, St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves also cited Trinidad for drawing the most from the integration movement in an uneven relationship.
