Trinidadian Businessman after budget: People feel ‘raped’

(Trinidad Express) A business owner yesterday said ordinary citizens of Trinidad and Tobago feel raped.

After so saying, businessman Anthony Hadeed, principal consultant at YourLifePurpose Ltd, asked members of his audience, by show of hands, to say if they felt violated by their governments. Most raised their hands.

Hadeed was the feature speaker at the Couva/Point Lisas Chamber of Commerce post-budget forum at the business association’s conference hall on Camden Road, Couva.

His comments came on the heels of the San Juan Business Association’s post-budget forum the night before, where speaker after speaker said the alleged economic turnaround was not trickling down to ordinary people.
