Trinidad: Son of Former Deputy Police Commissioner gunned down

(TRINIDAD GUARDIAN) The son of a for­mer deputy com­mis­sion­er of po­lice was gunned down in Ch­agua­nas a short while ago.

De­tails are lim­it­ed at the mo­ment, but po­lice said Mark “Trou­ble­sum Yute” Al­lard was am­bushed and shot by un­known as­sailants in Lendore Vil­lage, Ch­agua­nas, just be­fore 9 pm.

He was rushed to the Ch­agua­nas Dis­trict Health fa­cil­i­ty for treat­ment but died short­ly af­ter ar­rival.

He was the son of re­tired Deputy Com­mis­sion­er on Po­lice Os­wyn Al­lard. His killing has tak­en the mur­der toll to 409 for the year.

The se­nior Al­lard en­list­ed in­to the Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice in 1965 and re­tired in April 2007.
