An alleged attempt to deliver ganja to a murder accused prisoner landed a man behind bars yesterday.
It is alleged that Earl Morian unlawfully introduced cannabis into the lockup at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on October 25th.
Morian denied the charge when he appeared before Magistrate Leron Daly.
According to Police Prosecutor Deniro Jones, the accused on the day in question placed cannabis in the food he delivered at the lockup for murder accused Kerwin De Santos. The prosecutor noted that the food was searched in the presence of Morian and the illicit substance was found.
Magistrate Daly subsequently denied the accused bail and remanded him to prison until November 23rd, when his next hearing is scheduled.
De Santos is among three persons charged with murdering America Street money changer Shawn Nurse, also known as ‘Fabulous,’ who was gunned down in February during a robbery.
