The Lucas Stock Index (LSI) rose 0.965 during the second period of trading in December 2018. The stocks of five companies were traded, with 98,398 shares changing hands. There were two Climbers and no Tumblers. The stocks of the Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) rose 5.56% on the sale of 439 shares. The stocks of Republic Bank Limited (RBL) also rose 2.27% on the sale of 38,977 shares. In the meanwhile, the stocks of Banks DIH (DIH), the Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL), and the Guyana Bank for Trade & Industry (BTI) remained unchanged on the sale of 52,204; 5,918; and 860 shares, respectively. The LSI closed at 484.30.
