Western missions urge respect for CCJ ruling on no-confidence motion

In a joint statement, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and the European Union yesterday called for all sides to respect the ruling of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) issued yesterday upholding the December 21, 2018 motion of no- confidence.

They also urged an agreement by all the sides on the way forward.

The statement by US Ambassador,  Sarah-Ann Lynch; United Kingdom High Commissioner,  Greg Quinn; High Com-missioner of Canada to Guyana, Lilian Chatterjee and  Head of Delegation of the European Union to Guyana, Jernej Videtič on the ruling on the no-confidence motion said: “The Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) has ruled and it is important that all sides respect that ruling. We also encourage all to come to an agreement on the way forward.”
