A Berbice River man was murdered sometime yesterday at his Sand Hill, Upper Berbice River resident.
Stabroek News was told, that one person has since been arrested for the murder of Elvis Benedict.
It is suspected, that Benedict was fatally stabbed by a person known to him.
According to information gathered, Benedict’s body and the suspect were brought from the Berbice River via boat yesterday afternoon and handed over to ranks at the New Amsterdam Police Station.
An investigation has been launched.
