Omalo Dick, who police say stole 170 pounds of chicken, was yesterday asked to post $10,000 bail for his release after denying the crime.
Dick, 23, appeared before Principal Magistrate Sherdell Isaacs-Marcus at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court Three, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge.
It is alleged that on June 22nd, Dick allegedly stole 170 pounds of chicken, amounting to $51,680, from Rawle Burkett.
Further details about the charge were not disclosed by Prosecutor Adduni Inniss.
Dick was subsequently granted his release on $10,000 bail and the matter was then transferred to Courts 8 and 9, where it is to be called in July.
