Inquiry begins into attempted murder charge against supermarket manager

The Preliminary Inquiry (PI) into the charge against the supermarket manager accused of attempting to murder a customer, commenced yesterday with testimony by the complainant in the matter.

Xinoxi Qu, of 1B Diamond Public Road, is alleged to have wounded Gregory Sanmoogan with the intent to murder him on April 22nd, at Diamond Public Road.

During the commencement of the PI yesterday before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan, Sanmoogan took the stand. He was later cross-examined by attorney George Thomas, who represented the accused.

The matter was then adjourned until today when more witnesses are expected to testify.

There are a total of six prosecution witnesses who are expected to testify.
