Mechanic, mortician freed of ganja trafficking charge

A mechanic and a mortician, who were charged with possession of around half a pound of marijuana late last year, were freed after the charge against them was dismissed yesterday.

City Magistrate Rondel Weever dismissed the joint possession of narcotics for trafficking charge that had been laid against David Lynch, 41, and Oslyn Richards, 39, after finding that there was insufficient evidence presented by police prosecutor Simone Payne.

The two had been charged with being in possession of 245 grammes of marijuana in December of 2018.

The allegation stated that both Lynch and Richards were found in possession of the narcotic on December 5th, 2018 at Albouystown.
