The Guyana Oil Company Ltd (GUYOIL) yesterday announced a reduction in prices for Gas-oline and Gasoil (LSD).
The reduction took effect from 2 pm yesterday, GUYOIL said in a press release.
It noted that the reductions were possible due to lower acquisition cost, which it was passing on to customers.
As a result, GUYOIL said the retail price for Super 95 Gasoline is now $214 per litre, while the retail price for Gasoil is $203 per litre, down from $224 and $217 per litre, respectively.
Additionally, the wholesale prices for Super 95 Gasoline and Gasoil are $204 and $193 per litre, respectively, down from $207 and $193 per litre.
GUYOIL noted that it is always cognisant of its role in the Guyana economy and continuously strives to ensure that quality petroleum products are provided at excellent prices.
