Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) prosecutor, Konyo Sandiford, told the city court that based on a letter received by the Guyana Forensic Science Laboratory, the analysis of the drugs would not be read until August 2. She noted that based on this information, she would have no objection with the court granting the accused bail but that the court should consider the amount mentioned in the charge.

This request was later granted by the Chief Magistrate and the accused released on $300,000 bail. He was also ordered to report every last Friday in the month at 9 am, to Joseph Inniss or Dexter Torrington at CANU’s investigations unit.

The matter was then adjourned until September 9.

Chandrabhan was earlier granted High Court Bail.
