My kids are blessed to be growing up in America

Dear Editor,

As America celebrates the national holiday to mark its birth as a country, my kids are blessed to be growing up in that country.

My children never have to experience flooding and blackouts. They never have to worry about thieves breaking into their homes or have to worry about watching their backs walking the streets of Georgetown.

They never have to worry about loud music playing late at night and preventing them from sleeping or on the buses causing them to go deaf.

They never have to worry about hearing people cussing out each other every day and everywhere. They never have to worry about getting a job after finishing school or being victimized because of their political activities.

Editor, my children take growing up in America for granted. They just don’t know how fortunate they are to grow up in America.

Editor, on behalf of a grateful father and patriot, I just wanted to take this time to thank all the American people for giving my children the opportunity to grow up in a beautiful country. God bless America. The land that I love. The land of the free and home of the brave.

Yours faithfully,

Anthony Pantlitz
