Orwin Peters, who is charged with the 2017 fatal shooting of bus driver Tedroy James, was yesterday told that a case has been made against him.

As a result, Peters has opted to call witnesses to testify on his behalf when the preliminary inquiry into the murder charge against him continues.

It is alleged that Peters, also known as ‘Ratty,’ murdered James, called ‘Six Head,’ in the course or furtherance of a robbery on July 11th, 2017, at Georgetown.

Senior Magistrate Fabayo Azore, who is conducting the inquiry, informed Peters yesterday that a prima facie case was made out against him and then asked if he wished to say anything. He opted not to. However, he told the court that he wished to call about three or four witnesses.

Magistrate Azore subsequently adjourned the proceedings until August 2nd in order to facilitate his request.
