Former Jamaica Ambassador to Cuba dies of cancer

(Jamaica Observer) Former chief of state protocol in the Office of the Prime Minister, Elinor Felix died yesterday after a struggle with cancer.

Felix, a former Jamaica ambassador to Cuba, worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade for several years in charge of protocol among other areas.

She was on contract at the Caribbean Maritime University at the time of her death, having previously retired from the public service.
