I refer to your edition of 25th of June under the caption `LGC President says past administration’s financial records hampering elections’. Stabroek News then published
the following paragraph without verification:
“We had no financial records. We requested it from the previous administration, Hilbert Shields, Brian Hackett, Brian Glasford, William Walker and they didn’t provide anything so,
as a result, we had to hire an outside accountant to do forensic accounting and
try put it together,” he added.
With reference to the past Administration elected in March of 2017, Mr. Parmanand Persaud was Treasurer & Mr. Aasrodeen Shaw was appointed Asst. Secretary/Treasurer on
the resignation of the elected officeholder.
In December 2017 at the last AGM held by LGC, Mr. Aasrodeen Shaw was elected Treasurer
and Mr. Parmanand Persaud Asst. Secretary/Treasurer. These are the same persons and they were and are still the principal financial officers of Lusignan Golf Club.
