Nine witnesses still to testify in inquiry into alleged murder plot against businessman

Nine more witnesses are to testify in the Preliminary Inquiry (PI) into the charge against two men, including the operator of Rockies Hotel in Georgetown, accused of plotting to kill a Lethem businessman.

The PI into the charge against Mark Grimmond and Chatterpaul Singh, called Kevin Singh, continued before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan yesterday.

It is alleged that the men between April 1st, 2018 and June 7th, 2019, in Georgetown, conspired with each other and persons unknown to murder Dwayne Grant.

The matter is being prosecuted by Police prosecutor Neville Jeffers, while Grimmond is being represented by Bernard Da Silva and Singh by Glenn Hanoman and Everton Singh-Lammy.

The matter was later adjourned until September 2nd.
