Trinidad: Two murdered in Chaguanas, Maloney

(Trinidad Guardian) Two mur­ders have been record­ed in the past 15 hours in Ch­agua­nas and Mal­oney.

A woman was al­so shot and wound­ed in St Mar­garet’s Vil­lage, Clax­ton Bay.

In Mal­oney, at about 6.30 am on Thurs­day Daniel “Pitch­man” Her­rera was found at Semp Av­enue in Mal­oney. He was fa­tal­ly shot sev­er­al times. Po­lice of­fi­cers are cur­rent­ly on the scene.

In Ch­agua­nas, Rus­sel Chaitram, 24, of En­ter­prise was at the cor­ner of Joyce and Per­se­v­er­ence Roads in Chan­danagore Vil­lage, Ch­agua­nas at about 7.39 pm when he was am­bushed by two gun­men and shot sev­er­al times.

He was tak­en to the Ch­agua­nas Health Fa­cil­i­ty by po­lice of­fi­cers how­ev­er he died while un­der­go­ing treat­ment.

Po­lice said Chaitram was shot in the chest, groin, wrist and but­tocks.

In the un­re­lat­ed shoot­ing in­ci­dent in South, a woman from Clax­ton Bay is cur­rent­ly ward­ed in a crit­i­cal con­di­tion at the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal nurs­ing gun­shot wounds.

Po­lice said res­i­dents of Train­line Street, St Mar­garet’s Vil­lage, at about 7 pm on Wednes­day, af­ter hear­ing a spate of gun­shots in the area found the woman bleed­ing from mul­ti­ple gun­shot wounds about her body.
