A Venezuelan national was on Sunday stabbed to death at Tabatinga Creek, Region 9 and the suspect has been arrested by the police.
Dead is 16-year-old Alberto Inima.
He was stabbed several times about his body and was taken to the Lethem Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Details surrounding the stabbing which occurred around 4 am remain unclear.
The police in a brief statement yesterday said initial investigations revealed that Inima and the suspect were at a shop when an argument ensued and they subsequently left.
Inima was later found with stab wounds about his body, the police noted.
