A taxi-driver was on Tuesday evening taken into police custody following the discovery of an unlicensed revolver in a motor car.
The police in a press statement said that ranks of an anti-crime patrol intercepted the motor car in which the taxi-driver was in and conducted a search during which the revolver was found.
The interception was done around 10.15pm at Mandela Avenue and Pineapple Street, Georgetown.
The 44-year-old suspect is assisting with investigation. He is likely to be charged soon.
