Transport downs DCC in U15 fixture under lights

Led by a Man-of-the-Match effort from national U15 player Alvin Mohabir, Transport Sports Club (TSC) defeated hosts, the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) by two runs in an U– 15 fixture under lights Saturday evening. 

DCC, who won the toss and elected to field, saw TSC posting 110 in 30 overs with Daniel Goolab (20) top scoring while 37 extras also contributed to the total.

DCC’s bowing effort was spearheaded by off-spinner Jaden Dowlin who grabbed 3-13, while Myiem Khan (2-12) and Jonathan Van Lange (2-2), were also among the wickets for DCC who in reply, were dismissed for 108 in 27 overs.  

Nick Ramnauth managed a top score of 28 as Mohabir, who is also TSC’s skipper, snatched 3-28 to lead his side’s bowling effort while Dave Mohabir (3-26), Joshua Daniels (2-10) and Stephon Sankar (2-8) bowled Transport to victory.

The two sides will meet again next Saturday at the same venue.
