‘Masters’ football squad for Suriname Independence tour announced

The GT Masters Football Club has officially selected its squad for the impending Independence tour of Suriname which is slated to be staged from November 21st-25th.

The playing squad was finalised following a trial match at the Georgetown Football Club ground, Bourda yesterday.

The final roster reads: Jolyan Lewis, Christopher Barnwell, Patrice Ram, Anthony Stanton, Errol Solomon, Lindon Bacchus, Keith Gappy, Shawn O’Neil, Andre Trotz, Lionel Grimes, Olford Gittens, Gerald Grittens, Sherwayne Scott, Dexter Layne, James Rodney, Elroy Parks, Wayne Pollis, Julian Benjamin, Calvin Pitt, Omalli Nassay, Rawle Jones, Justin Bentick, Hanson Lynch and James Turpin.

On the management side, Deon Barnwell will serve as the Head Coach, with Sheldon Bobb acting in the capacity of Manager.

According to an official release from GT Masters, the team was invited by the Ratio Masters of Paramaribo, Suriname, to feature as part of the nation’s independence celebrations.
