Trinidad bomb squad responds to explosion at PoS building, second device found

(Trinidad Express) There has been an explosion at the Parkade building in Port of Spain.

It happened shortly after this morning on the 12th level.

First responders have not found the source of the explosion, but a bomb disposal team has been called to the scene.

Fire fighters found scorch marks on the floor of the affected level and there was the smell of smoke reported by witnesses.

The Parkade and surrounding buildings have been evacuated, including the Unit Trust Corporation and Mecalfab.

 
Queen and Edwards Streets have been blocked off with caution tape.

Police and fire officers are on the scene.

And Senior Superintendent Radcliff Boxhill is saying that a second device has been found.
