Trinidad: Burning bodies found on boat

(Trinidad Express) Coast guard officers assisted police in the search for the bodies of two people found burnt in a boat at Canari bay, Moruga, yesterday.

Officers of the Moruga police station received a report around 1 p.m. that the two bodies were spotted at the secluded bay, in the vicinity of the Marac river.

The boat in which the bodies were seen was also burnt, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the area early afternoon, and were made to trek at least eight miles along the shore line on the edge of the Moruga forest to investigate the report.

Coast guard officers were also dispatched to search the area to assist police officers.

By nightfall, police were still at the scene.
