Fruta Conquerors and Foxy Ladies clinched victories when the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Always Women’s Championships resumed yesterday at the National Training Centre, Providence.
Fruta Conquerors mauled Santos 10-0. Abioce Heywood and Lakeisha Pearson recorded respective hat-tricks in the rout. Heywood found the back of the net in the 19th, 29th and 34th minute while Pearson tallied her conversions in the 10th, 52nd and 55th minute.
Tiandi Smith also made her presence felt with a double in the 15th and 36th minute. The other goals were scored by Shamya Daniels and Shanic Thornhill, who scored in the 56th and 62nd minute respectively. Meanwhile, Foxy Ladies downed the Guyana Police Force 2-0.
