In what has become a Christmas tradition, P&P Insurance Brokers on Friday made its annual donations to 12 non-profit organisations.

The 12 recipients are Bless the Children Home, the Caanan Children’s Home, the Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre, Uncle Eddie’s Home, Friends of the Archer’s Home, The Dharam Shala, the David Rose School, Cheshire Homes Guyana, the Hauraruni Girls Home, the Tina Insanally Foundation, the Bal Nivas Shelter and Joshua House Children’s Centre.

The 12 organisations received a $125,000 each, which brought the company’s total donation to $1.5 million.

According to the company’s Executive Director Vikash Panday, one of the organisations which they usually donate to each year is now obsolete and so they added the Joshua House Children’s Centre instead of reducing their contribution.

“We are aware of the many challenges you face in trying to discharge your responsibilities and we hope that these donations will be of some help to you,” Panday noted. He went on to say that this annual donation is only a small part of the company’s community outreach as throughout the year they also assist in medical and educational outreaches.

He expressed the hope that the monies will be used for the real beneficiaries, which are those persons that the organisations serve.
