The police are investigating the murder of a 28-year-old athletics coach whose lifeless body was discovered early this morning with multiple stab wounds at D’Urban Park.
Dead is Seon Anthony ‘Cenestro’ Burry, who is also a Rural Constable attached to the Police Sports Club and of South Sophia.
Police spokesman Jairam Ramlakhan confirmed the incident which occurred sometime between 3.30am and 5.45am. He said Burry was stabbed several times including in his neck.
Ramlakhan said information received is that Burry left home around 3.30am to train athletes.
It remains unclear what might have occurred leading up to his demise.
