Chairman of the Integrity Commission, Mr. Doraisami could not have been more
Unbelievable when he, reportedly, told Stabroek News that the Integrity Commission was unable to publish and gazette the names of the delinquent public officers, because it did not have the funds to do so.
Even if it were true, did he state what efforts they made in approaching civic-minded persons, international organisations and foreign missions committed to transparency, in helping to fund this publication?
Did the Commission have a budget, one that prioritized the very essence of its functions?
How much was this prohibitive cost? What about a free website?
Did they create the mother of all hullabaloos to ensure that the Commission got its job done?
No! Conveniently, and shamefully, he (the Commission) played ostrich!
