Kerwin Ward is the new Regional Executive Officer (REO) for the Cuyuni-Mazaruni Region as of January 1, 2019, the Department of Public Information (DPI) reported yesterday.
Ward is the former REO for the Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo Region and replaces Region 7’s most recent REO, Roderick Edinboro.
DPI said that the position of REO became vacant with Edinboro not renewing his contract which ended in the last quarter of 2018. Holbert Knights acted as the REO for the region since Edinboro’s resignation and is now the deputy REO.
Meanwhile, Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo has a new incoming REO in Leslie Wilburg, former REO of Barima-Waini. Former REO Carlton Beckles is currently acting REO for Region 9 until Wilburg takes up his new position.
In addition, Denis Jaikarran of Region Three has been re-assigned as REO to the Pomeroon-Supenaam Region.
