Police seeking suspects in Bushlot double murder

The police in Berbice are on the hunt for two suspects in relation to the Bushlot, Corentyne robbery which left two farmers dead last Wednesday evening.

Yesterday afternoon, wanted bulletins were issued for Yougendra Jeenarine, 28, of Lot 439 Bushlot Village, Corentyne and Kelvin Shivgobin, 32, of Belvedere Village, Corentyne.

According to the police, the men are wanted for questioning in relation to the murders of Harricharran Samaroo also known as “Davo”, 46, and Premcharran Samaroo, also known as “Tullie”, 44, both of Bushlot Farm, Corentyne.

Two Mondays ago, around 7.45 pm, Harricharran Samaroo and Premcharran Samaroo were killed at their mother’s house located at Lot 446 Bushlot Village, Corentyne.

Stabroek News was told that the men were shot after they rushed to their mother’s backyard to investigate sounds of a gunshot.
