The Linden Town Council in collaboration with the Linden Fire Station yesterday sanitised the Mackenzie Market area, which includes Republic Avenue and the Mackenzie Municipal Market.
Early yesterday morning officers from the Linden Fire Station hosed down the area with water, bleach and disinfectant. The exercise was commended by residents and officials in the town, the Department of Public Information said.
This exercise is among other preventative measures being rolled out by the Regional Health Emergency Committee (RHEC) to reduce the transmission of the novel coronavirus (COVId-19) disease.
