Trinidad: “Dracula” killed during police-involved shooting

Lyndon “Dracula” Mohammed, also known as Jason Aguillera, was shot and killed during a police-involved shooting in Cocorite, on Thursday.

According to a police report, at about 1.30 pm, a party of officers assigned to the Western Division were conducting an anti-crime exercise in Cocorite when they acted on intelligence received and went to an area called Ratchet Hill.

Police report that the officers were shot at, forcing them to return fire.

Mohammed, police said, was shot several times. He was taken to the St James District Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police said they recovered a Glock pistol loaded with ten rounds of ammunition on the scene.

They also say Mohammed was well-known to them and was wanted for various offences, including firearm and robbery.

Investigations are continuing.
