The National Trust of Guyana yesterday announced the passing of architect Lennox J Hernandez.
In a post on its Facebook page, the National Trust said:
“Words cannot express the deep loss we feel on the passing of former Chairman of the Board of the National Trust of Guyana and long serving member Mr. Lennox J. Hernandez, Senior Architect and also former Lecturer of the University of Guyana. He passed away at his Georgetown home (yesterday) morning Wednesday May 27, 2020.
“Mr. Hernandez has contributed significantly to building awareness about Guyana’s architectural heritage and advocated for its conservation noting the uniqueness of our country’s built heritage. He has taught Architecture for decades both local and international. He was very supportive of the mission and work of the National Trust”.
