Fire at Linden man’s home was act of arson

A fire that destroyed the home of Lindener Kevon Lorrimer on August 1st is believed to be an act of arson.

Fire Chief Marlon Gentle told this newspaper that the Fire Service’s investigation found that the fire was maliciously set by someone.

Lorrimer, 38, of Richmond Hill, Linden, was in Georgetown when he received information about a fire at his home.

Lorrimer who immediately made his way back to Linden, found the burnt remains of his home, when he arrived at the scene.

The fire was said to have started just around 2.20 pm.

Lorrimer, a known vocal supporter of the APNU+AFC coalition, said he had received several threats recently.
