Dear Editor,
I write to correct a blatant untruth contained in the Guyana Times edition of 17/8/2020, which falsely asserted that Ms. Carol Joseph was employed as a “Petroleum Advisor” in a fictitious “Petroleum Unit” within the Ministry of Natural Resources during the period of the APNU+AFC administration.
For the record, there was no petroleum unit or department within the ministry. Further while Ms. Joseph did have an assignment as an auxiliary District Compliance Officer, such role had absolutely nothing to do with petroleum in any way, shape or form.
I trust that those who wish to propagate these untruths would first arm themselves with the facts, and from which standpoint, an objective discussion can ensue.
