Man for trial over murder of brother-in-law at Haslington

The trial of Les Charles Critchlow for the 2016 murder of his brother-in-law Terrence Adams is set to commence next Monday at 9am at the High Court in Georgetown.

At his arraignment yesterday morning, Critchlow pleaded not guilty to the capital charge which states that on May 12th, 2016 at Haslington, East Coast Demerara he murdered Adams also known as ‘Uncle Terry’ or ‘Sleepy.’

Following his arraignment, a 12-member mixed jury was empaneled to hear the case before Justice Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.

Critchlow will be represented by attorney Maxwell Mc Kay, while the state’s case will be presented by Prosecutor Tiffini Lyken.
