The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT) has presented 17 bursaries to children of its staff who excelled at this year’s National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA).

A GTT release yesterday said that the company on Monday hosted a three-part handover ceremony at its Brickdam, Head Office location.

“Every year we award bursaries to children of our employees and every year the number increases. It is a proud moment for GTT and we are happy to give back to our team,” said PR Manager, Jasmin Harris.

“We also look forward to investing in their future on a continuing basis. Once they maintain a 65% annual pass rate, GTT will continue to gift these 17 students every school year,” Harris added, according to the release.
