Matthews Ridge Airstrip reopened after repairs

The Matthews Ridge Airstrip and associated taxiway have been reopened to normal air transport operations into the region following remedial emergency repairs carried out by the Ministry of Public Works on Saturday January 9, 2021.

The north west airstrip was closed due to damage as a result of heavy rainfall.

The Guyana Civil Aviation Authority yesterday said in a release that it has notified all aircraft operators of this latest development.
