Wismar porter remanded over armed robbery spree

A porter, who according to the police was involved in three armed robberies, was yesterday taken before a Linden Magistrate to answer to the charges.

Colis Jerick, 30, of Lot 21 Third Alley, Wismar, was before Magistrate Wanda Fortune at the Linden Magistrate’s Court when he was read the three charges.

The first charge alleges that on November 23, 2019 at Buck Hill, Wismar, Linden, he robbed Clifton Halley of a Honda XR motor cycle valued $450,000, property of Darrell George. He plead not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of $150,000. The second charge alleges that on the same day at Wisroc, Linden, he robbed Oswin Skeete of $30,000. He also denied this charge and was released on $60,000 bail. He was also charged with robbing Tessa and Leroy Couchman on November 24, 2019 at 47 Miles Mabura, Region 10. The charge alleges that he robbed the two of $2 million and articles summed to the value of $4,458. He was remanded on the charge.

The matters were adjourned to January 19.
